NSHC and DS Lab Company to develop new security business models through dark web data analysis

Cybersecurity firm NSHC (CEO Heo Young-il) announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DS Lab Company (CEO Cho Yong-hyun), a specialized maritime and ship cybersecurity company. Through this agreement, NSHC will leverage its accumulated tens of billions of dark web data records for analysis specialized in maritime and ship cyber threats, and the two companies will jointly develop new business models based on the findings.

NSHC noted that critical technologies requiring industrial security and confidential corporate information are increasingly being traded on the dark web, with a growing number of cases in which this information is used to extort victim companies. As a result, security measures utilizing dark web data are gaining global attention.

Through this collaboration, NSHC’s security technology and dark web data analysis capabilities will be combined with DS Lab Company’s maritime and ship cybersecurity and digital forensics expertise, which is expected to significantly strengthen the cyber terrorism response framework for the maritime industry. This agreement is anticipated to serve as an important catalyst for developing customized security solutions that take into account the unique characteristics of the maritime and ship industry.
