Maritime cybersecurity specialist CYTUR has been selected as an ‘Outstanding Job Creation Company’ by Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Geumcheon-gu selected outstanding companies among small and medium-sized enterprises that achieved an employment growth rate of 5% or more from October 2022 to September 2023, and CYTUR was named as one of the recipients. Geumcheon-gu conducted a comprehensive evaluation based on factors including the number of new hires, local resident employment records, employee welfare programs, and conversion of non-regular workers to permanent positions, ultimately selecting six outstanding companies. CYTUR was recognized for its expertise in maritime cybersecurity and its contribution to local job creation. Through this selection, CYTUR received a certification and plaque from Geumcheon-gu and has been granted preferential opportunities at overseas exhibitions, advanced industry expos, and job fairs from 2024 through 2025. CYTUR CEO Yonghyun Cho, Ph.D. stated, “This selection is the result of our company’s contribution to job creation and the local economy,” adding, “We will continue to strive to grow together with the local community and create even more jobs.”
Geumcheon-gu Mayor Sunghoon Yoo said, “We are grateful to the companies that have expanded employment and contributed to Geumcheon-gu’s economic development despite challenging conditions,” adding, “We will continue to expand the ‘Outstanding Job Creation Company Certification Program.'”
