Presents integrated security paradigm based on ship lifecycle at ‘Rakuten Maritime’ booth in partnership with Rakuten; introduces key solutions for securing cyber resilience in the smart shipbuilding era accelerated by AI and digital transformation

[Security News] CYTUR announced on October 15th that it will participate in ‘KORMARINE 2025,’ Asia’s largest shipbuilding and maritime industry exhibition, held at BEXCO in Busan on October 21st, showcasing innovative cybersecurity technologies and solutions recognized by global classification societies.

CYTUR’s ‘Ship Lifecycle-Based Cybersecurity Solutions’ have been recognized for establishing an integrated security framework spanning the entire ship lifecycle — from design and construction to operation and decommissioning — presenting a new paradigm in maritime cybersecurity. The company recently won the ‘SAFETY4SEA Maritime Cybersecurity Award’ held in Athens, Greece, beating out prominent competitors from the UK and Israel.

The shipbuilding and maritime industry is currently undergoing rapid digital transformation, including AI-based autonomous vessels and smart port systems, which are simultaneously increasing both the complexity and severity of cyber threats.

CYTUR’s solutions play a core role in securing vessel cyber resilience in the smart shipbuilding era. The company’s ship lifecycle-based approach implements Security by Design from the vessel design stage, serving as a pioneering technology capable of proactively defending against potential cyber threats to AI-enabled systems.

Furthermore, CYTUR has demonstrated its technological competitiveness in the global market by obtaining ISO 9001/27001 certification from the Korean Register of Shipping, an Innovation Endorsement from ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai), and cybersecurity certification from the Italian classification society RINA. Achieving consecutive certifications from two of the world’s seven major classification societies along with the domestic class society is a testament to the company’s solutions meeting international standards including RMF for the defense sector and IACS UR E26/E27 for commercial vessels, and being recognized as a leading technology in shipbuilding and maritime cybersecurity.

At KORMARINE 2025, CYTUR will demonstrate its strong commitment to global market expansion through the ‘Rakuten Maritime’ booth, a strategic partnership brand with the Rakuten Group. The booth will feature various programs including live demonstrations of the ‘Ship Lifecycle Integrated Security Solutions,’ allowing visitors to directly experience the importance of maritime cybersecurity and CYTUR’s technological capabilities.

CYTUR CEO Yonghyun Cho, Ph.D. stated, “KORMARINE 2025 will serve as an opportunity to build trust not only in the Asian market but also in European and North American markets, backed by our proven technological capabilities demonstrated through the world’s most prestigious SAFETY4SEA Award and international class certifications.” He added, “We expect this exhibition to serve as a vital bridgehead for accelerating our overseas expansion and establishing strategic partnerships with global shipbuilding and maritime companies.”
