CYTUR Receives Simultaneous Certifications from Korean and Japanese Classification Societies – Recognized for Its Ship Cybersecurity Technology
Ship cybersecurity company CYTUR has received simultaneous certifications for quality, security, and innovation from the Korean Register (KR) and Japan’s ClassNK. This marks the world’s first case of a company obtaining such certifications from both classification societies at once, highlighting CYTUR’s internationally recognized technological capabilities.
The certified technology is a “cyber threat modeling-based risk assessment technology for the design phase” which applies a “Secure By Design” approach. It analyzes cyber threats from the early stages of ship design and integrates security measures accordingly. The technology meets both the U.S. Department of Defense’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) cybersecurity standard UR E27.
Building on this achievement, CYTUR plans to launch its Series A funding round this year, aiming to strengthen its leadership in the ship cybersecurity market—from naval defense vessels to commercial ships.
A CYTUR representative stated, “The approach of implementing security from the design phase is gaining attention in the shipbuilding and maritime industries. We will continue developing and promoting technologies that meet global standards.”
