Dr. Jang Jin-hwan, Research Fellow at the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice, explained the characteristics of maritime cybercrime and response strategies, noting the need to expand dedicated organizations within the Korea Coast Guard. Prof. Lim Hyun-taek of Kookmin University stressed the importance of strengthening cybersecurity cooperation and taking preemptive measures. Attorney Song Ji-yong of Law Firm Si-an pointed to the need for specialized cybercrime response organizations, stating that budget increases should be discussed at the National Assembly level.
